Our Pastor & Ministerial Staff

Reverend Jackey Wilson

Rev. Jackey Wilson was born on March 8, 1962 in San Francisco, California to Deacon Jimmie Wilson and Sister Norma Jean Wilson.

Rev. Wilson was raised in a strong Christian family. His Christian walk began at the very early age of eight years old at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in East Palo Alto, under the direction of the late Rev. James Gardner and later, under the pastoral ship of the late Rev. James Daniels. During that time of growth Rev. Wilson became the president of the youth department, and was soon ordained as a deacon.  In 2001, Rev. Wilson received and accepted a higher calling upon his life; the call to preach.  He became an ordained minister in 2002 under the leadership of Rev. John W. Waiters and served as the third minister in charge.

Rev. Wilson’s thirst and hunger to increase his stewardship lead him to further his education at the Peninsula School of Theology, under the directorship of RevFred Campbell, Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and the teachings of the Rev. Larry Ellis, pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church in San Mateo, CA.

In 2004, the Wilson family became members of the Evergreen Baptist Church where he served as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Senior Pastor,Dr. Damien M. Epps.  In July of 2008, Dr. Damian Epps resigned as Senior Pastor of the Evergreen Baptist Church and Rev. Wilson was asked to carry on the ministerial duties of the church and serve as Interim Pastor.  In October of 2008, the members of the Evergreen Baptist Church voted to accept Rev. Wilson as the pastor of this congregation, and he readily accepted this assignment.

Rev. Wilson is truly a servant of the Lord and prides himself on following His word and satisfying Him in all that he does. Rev. Wilson thanks the Lord for His goodness and Mercy. Rev. Wilson’s Christian slogan is,Uplifting the Kingdom of God. For John 12 chapter, verse 32 states, “If I be lifted up from the earth, I’ll draw all men unto me.” With the Lord’s guidance, by prayer and supplication Pastor Wilson can do all things in Jesus’ name.

Rev. Wilson is married to First Lady Lecia Wilson and they are the parents of two children, Dante’ Jackson and Jackey J. Wilson, II.  They have four grandchildren, Jaylend, Je’chiana, Kanya and Akire. In addition the Lord has blessed them with seven God-Children.
